My Review:

I received these quite a while ago, but have not been able to use them because they are much smaller than I expected them to be. The picture shows a bag on top of a chicken. While it may appear that the bag is larger than the chicken, it does not fit. Finally i just bought some cornish hens because I knew they would fit. The instructions say to toss in a teaspoon of flour and shake, then to tie the bag and cut 6 one inch slits in the top. Because the hens only took up about half of the bag per hen i only cut 3 slits. The instructions also provide a cooking time guide, but I went with the time provided on the hens instead because it was at a lower temperature.

When the house started to smell good I knew they were ready. My husband pulled them out and they were perfect! There is a bunch of juice in the bag, so getting them out was a bit messy, but all the juice made for some delicious gravy as well. This is a super easy way to roast meat. I'm going to have to get some larger bags so I can do whole chickens and roasts. But I cannot believe I've never cooked meat this way before. It turns out much better in the bag than in a roaster and you don't have to baste because it does all the work for you.

Rating and Why:

(4/5 HungryHollys)

Took one star off for being too small to cook a roast or a whole chicken which is pictured on the packaging. However, the product works as described and I would buy again, just a larger size
